Maintenance management software systems

Only KCI Konecranes offers an inspection and maintenance programs enhanced by a sophisticated maintenance management software system called MAINMAN II - TNG®. MAINMAN captures data on the condition of over 200 crane components and then analyzes, prioritizes and schedules required repairs. MAINMAN's ability to predict maintenance needs has resulted in maintenance schedules where 90 percent of the work done on cranes inspected and maintained by KCI Konecranes is planned, greatly reducing downtime.

Periodical Inspection

A Statutory Scheduled Inspection determines whether usage of the crane has caused any changes that impinge on safety, and addresses in particular material fatigue, wear, corrosion and other damage. The Operational Reliability Inspection covers the safety of the user, the persons working within the operating zone of the lifting equipment, and service and repair personnel. The Operational Reliability Inspection also ensures operating reliability of the crane by defining the maintenance status of the equipment and checking the adequacy of preventive maintenance.

Condition Monitoring

The purpose of a Condition Monitoring Inspection is to ensure the operation of the equipment through the increased frequency of inspections. Where required, the Condition Monitoring Inspection can be linked to Scheduled Service as a preventive measure. Procedures focus on the critical components and parts of the equipment.
